Job Overview
Onshore Technical is currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to support gas mains replacement works on a GD3 REPEX framework in the Basingstoke area. This is a permanent opportunity suited to a Project Manager with strong gas distribution experience, ideally with a background in mains replacement, REPEX delivery and site-based utility works.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing delivery, site teams, subcontractors, programme, SHEQ compliance, client communication and overall project performance.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take ownership of the successful delivery of gas mains replacement works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme, quality and client requirements.
You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, operational management and client representatives to ensure strong performance across safety, delivery, commercial awareness and customer expectations.

This role would suit someone with a practical background in gas distribution who understands the demands of live utility works and can manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of gas mains replacement works
- Oversee site teams and subcontractors
- Monitor programme progress and support delivery against key milestones
- Ensure works are delivered safely and in line with SHEQ requirements
- Manage client communication and stakeholder relationships
- Support planning, sequencing and coordination of site activities
- Review project performance and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain strong standards of health, safety, quality and compliance
- Support commercial and operational reporting where required
- Ensure project documentation, records and reporting are maintained accurately
- Drive a positive safety and delivery culture across the project team

Essential Requirements
- Project Management experience
- Gas distribution experience
- Experience managing site teams and subcontractors
- Strong understanding of site safety and delivery requirements
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage programme, performance and project delivery
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Requirements
- Gas mains replacement experience
- REPEX framework experience
- Experience working on GD3 or similar gas distribution frameworks
- Local to the Basingstoke area
- Experience working with gas network operators or main contractors
