The AtkinsRéalis Project Delivery Practice is our centre of excellence for delivering major infrastructure programmes, combining a high-performing project management team with a market-leading capability.
We specialise in delivering some of the UK’s most high-profile and transformative projects across key sectors:
- Water Infrastructure
- Defence
- Aviation
- Energy
With continued growth, we are looking for Project Managers to join our London-based team, supporting an expanding and diverse portfolio of work. We’re particularly interested in candidates with consultancy experience and a proven ability to deliver complex, large-scale projects.

The Role
In this Project Manager position, you will be responsible for:
Core Responsibilities
- Leading projects end-to-end, from business case development through to construction and handover.
- Managing programmes, cost, risk, and change control, ensuring robust governance and reporting frameworks.
-Taking accountability for both technical and commercial performance, including:
- Effective contract administration.
- Maintaining high standards of quality.
- Leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, including:
- Consultants
- Designers
- Contractors
- Providing clear and proactive reporting to Senior Project Managers and Project Directors, covering:
- Performance insights
- Risks
- Opportunities
- Acting as the primary client contact, building and sustaining:
- Strong, trusted, and long-term stakeholder relationships.
- Supporting business development by:
- Identifying opportunities for repeat work.
- Promoting AtkinsRéalis’ capabilities.

About You
We seek passionate, collaborative professionals who demonstrate:
- Strong project delivery skills, paired with commercial awareness and stakeholder management.
- Proven experience delivering projects within one or more of our growth sectors.
- A robust grasp of:
- Project controls
- Assurance
- Risk management—with a structured, proactive approach.
- Sound commercial acumen, including expertise in:
- Fee management
- Financial reporting
- Knowledge of industry-standard contracts, especially:
- NEC3, NEC4 and/or bespoke contract forms (with relevant application experience).
- Confidence in client-facing roles, skills to:
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Expertise in leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex stakeholder environments.
- Professional accreditation (e.g., MAPM, MICE, PMQ) or working towards it.
- A highly organised, proactive approach, capable of independent and collaborative work.

Security Clearance: This role may require clearance at UKSV level. Applicants may need to provide proof of 5+ years’ continuous UK residency and will be assessed before final offers.
