Tech Pipeline
Tech Pipeline helps operations teams fix the broken middle of their business processes by focusing on technical realities instead of slide decks. We are currently working with a London-based investment partner to clear out friction in their internal systems and ensure their data moves where it needs to go. This internship is a chance to learn how to manage technical projects by looking at the ground truth of how work actually gets done.
About the Role
The Project Manager Intern will assist in tracking the specific items that cause operational drag for our clients. For our work with the investment partner, this means looking at where approval chains get stuck in email and why certain reconciliations are still being done by hand. You will help bridge the gap between technical backlogs and the operators who need these tools to work. This is a fully remote position that requires a high degree of organization and a willingness to look at the logs to understand the project status. You will learn to identify the difference between a broad strategy and the specific routing rule or integration gap that is causing actual friction.
What You Will Be Doing
- Update internal tracking tools to reflect the current state of routing rule fixes and system updates.
- Sit in on discovery sessions with operators to document exactly where data friction occurs in their desktop workflow.
- Check project backlogs against actual system logs to ensure updates are being completed as reported by the technical team.
- Draft clear and concise status updates for our investment partner that focus on specific resolved issues rather than abstract goals.
- Verify that new SOPs match the updated routing logic in the client systems after a fix is deployed.
- Monitor shared task lists to identify new bottlenecks that were not previously documented in the initial project scope.
- Check data entries to ensure that the source of truth in the investment database is syncing correctly with the reporting tools.
- Assist in the final month of live support to ensure the client team can handle the system independently once we leave.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Working at Tech Pipeline
At Tech Pipeline, we believe the best way to manage a project is to stay close to the technical reality. We do not spend our time in long brainstorming sessions or building complex slide decks. Instead, we write things down. Every update, every system change, and every routing rule update is documented clearly so that anyone on the team can pick up where the last person left off. Our work for the London-based investment partner is demanding because the accuracy of their data is vital, but we handle that pressure with consistent updates and a commitment to fixing the source of truth. We work in a way that respects your schedule while ensuring that every project stays on track and ends with a system the client can actually use.
