Substack is building a new economic engine for culture, giving the brightest, most interesting, and most creative people on the internet the power of their own publishing platform. Substack empowers independent writers, artists, videographers, podcasters, and creators of all types to create, share, and make a living off their work through subscriptions, while offering them creative freedom, ownership, and a direct connection to their audiences.

The UK is Substack’s second largest market, with a fast growing network of publishers and creators spanning culture, food, history, gardening, current affairs, sports, and more. This year, we’ve also hired the first leads for nine new international territories from Australia to Brazil, to accelerate the organic growth of Substack around the world.

We’re recruiting an ambitious, proactive, and highly organised Project Manager to help coordinate our UK and international activity, from helping set up unique events for our Bestsellers and target publishers, to creating online resources and presentations for events and conferences, as well as being a central point of contact for our growing international team.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Substack’s Head of International to coordinate our international operations as well as leading select international projects.
  • Work closely with the UK team providing logistical support for our creator and publisher events as well as the day-to-day running of the UK office.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
