Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to oversee the deployment of our autonomous vehicle technology. This role will be pivotal in ensuring successful project execution, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. You will act as a bridge between our headquarters and local operations, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer & Local Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers and headquarters.
  • Facilitate regular communication to update both parties on project status, milestones, challenges, and requirements.
  • Work with customers to adapt our autonomous trucking technology to local regulations and operational norms.
  • Ensure all deployments comply with local regulations, safety standards, and operational requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Address concerns, obtain necessary permits, and ensure smooth project deployment.

  • Implement project plans as outlined by headquarters, ensuring all phases, timelines, and deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams locally and with headquarters to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, milestones, and key performance indicators to both the customer and headquarters.
  • Prepare regular status reports and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Align local project execution with headquarters’ strategic goals, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Work closely with HQ teams for technical support, decision-making, and resource allocation.

On-Site Team Collaboration:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of autonomous truck deployment, including testing, maintenance, and data management.
  • Coordinate local resources and logistics to support deployment activities.
  • Act as a cultural liaison to ensure effective communication and understanding between the Chinese team and local stakeholders.
  • Promote an inclusive and collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives and expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management and technology deployment, preferably in the automotive or autonomous vehicle sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to bridge cultural gaps, foster collaboration, and navigate cultural sensitivities.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying project updates, requirements, and challenges.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and operational norms related to autonomous vehicles is a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Flexibility to work across time zones and with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic Chinese for daily communication is plus.
