Project Manager (IT Technical) - Glasgow
Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Project Manager (IT Technical) based in our Glasgow office.
About the Role
As a Project Manager you will drive the successful delivery of projects from concept to completion, coordinating stakeholders, managing budgets and resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring business objectives and benefits are achieved.
Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end.
We keep our customers’ worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.
What you’ll do as a Project Manager (IT Technical):
- Manage multiple IT projects, adopting a ‘delivery focused’ mindset and approach to drive impact and benefit as early as possible.
- Manage project demands; intercept issues and risks, implementing countermeasures as required.
- Ensure appropriate project governance is in place, with clear articulation across Aggreko’s IT function, Business Units and Group functions.
- Identify and liaise with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with other key business objectives.
- Own the project execution and leadership of the project team.
- Present information on project outcomes in a timely manner and shaped to the relevant audience.
You are:
- Technically proficient (4+ years’ experience) in delivering technology focused projects, preferably in the Sales & CRM, Billing and Invoicing process domain.
- Experience of custom development apps, AI solutions and vendor SAAS platforms.
- Operating effectively in ambiguous, high-complexity environments whilst driving execution rather than PMO coordination.
- Managing challenging stakeholders, cross geographies and remote teams.
- APM or PMI certification - practitioner desirable.
- Experience in executing Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid project methodologies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
