Project Manager - Technology (AI) & Operations
12 month FTC, London/Hybrid, £55,000 per annum
Role Purpose
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of technology initiatives across one or more of the following areas: IT Operations, Software Platforms, Digital Products, Automation and AI-enabled solutions.
The role offers exposure to enterprise platforms, cloud technologies, AI products, operational transformation, and digital innovation initiatives, making it an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager looking to broaden their experience across modern technology delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Programme Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects from planning through to implementation and transition into BAU
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts
- Manage project scope, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables
- Ensure delivery aligns with agreed business outcomes and strategic objectives
- Drive accountability across project teams and delivery partners
Technology & Product Delivery
- Support delivery across software development, SaaS platforms, operational technology, and AI-enabled products
- Partner with relevant teams to translate requirements into actionable delivery plans
- Apply Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery approaches as appropriate to project objectives and team structure
- Facilitate planning, prioritization, decision-making, and progress tracking activities as appropriate to the delivery approach
- Coordinate delivery activities required to launch new products, platforms, and services into production environments
- Work alongside Product Managers, Engineering, Operations, and business stakeholders to ensure successful product releases
- Manage launch readiness, deployment planning, communications, and post-launch activities

Governance & Risk Management
- Establish and maintain effective project governance structures
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and delivery KPIs
- Manage RAID logs and ensure timely resolution of risks, issues, and dependencies
- Escalate delivery risks and decisions through appropriate governance channels
- Produce clear and concise status reporting for leadership and stakeholders
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Build strong relationships across business and technology teams
- Manage communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Coordinate third-party vendors, implementation partners, and service providers
- Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed effectively throughout delivery
Operational Change & Service Transition
- Support organisational readiness, change management, and adoption activities
- Ensure users are prepared for new technologies, processes, and ways of working
- Coordinate operational handover and service transition into support teams
- Ensure support models, documentation, and training materials are established
- Drive smooth implementation with minimal operational disruption
- Collaborate with Service Management and Operations teams to ensure sustainable outcomes

Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Promote best practices in project delivery and governance
- Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and process improvement
- Support experimentation and delivery of emerging technologies, including AI and intelligent automation solutions
- Contribute to the development of delivery frameworks and standards across the technology function
Experience & Skills Essential
- Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver technology projects within complex organizational environments.
- Demonstrated experience delivering technology initiatives across multiple domains, including two or more of the following: software development, SaaS platforms, cloud technologies, digital products, automation, AI-enabled solutions, or technology transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and project controls
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong risk, dependency, and issue management capabilities
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, SharePoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences
