Project Manager
I&C Project Manager – Nuclear Island
Location: London/Bristol (with some travel required) Contract: Permanent, full-time Closing Date: Friday, 17th July 2026

Your Impact
As Project Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPC) activities across key Systems, Structures, and Components (SSCs), ensuring safe, on-time, cost-efficient, quality-focused outcomes.
Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities include:
- Directing and leading teams throughout the full project lifecycle, from procurement to transition into operation.
- Delivering multidisciplinary team outcomes on schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to align project scope with strategic objectives.
- Waste to £150m NI-I&C systems & contracts, including:
- Standard I&C
- Safety and Backup I&C
- Main Control Room
- Industrial Information and Monitoring Systems
You will work closely with the Nuclear Island (NI) supply chain, Responsible Designer (RD), Quality Team, and suppliers to execute the NI-I&C programme delivery.

Principal Accountabilities
As Project Manager, you will be accountable for:
- Leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver procurement-heavy, high-value I&C contracting, push manufacturing delivery, and align storage, commissioning, and handover processes.
- Ensuring safe, on-budget, on-time delivery of £150m high-integrity I&C contracts, meeting all technical and commercial specifications.
- Monitoring project milestones, deadlines, and budgets via reporting and stakeholder updates.
- Facilitating cross-functional collaboration to:
- Prepare construction contracts.
- Manage internal interfaces β Αερα within the NI programme and external interfaces with Commissioning and Civil Works.
- Maintaining site specificity (SZC/NI vs HPC) for I&C systems to optimise long-term operations.
- Mitigating risks (e.g. cybersecurity, obsolescence) and maximising opportunities (e.g. re-using UK-EPR fleet experiences for LTSA optimization).
- institutionalising lessons-learnt and knowledge sharing from SZC and other EPRs in the UK.
- Ensuring contract fulfilment, including commercial closure.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Proficient background in I&C, electrical/ process systems of large-scale industrial plants.
- Demonstrable understanding of typical risks & challenges in major project delivery (e.g. interface management, regulatory compliance).
- Proven success in:
- Coordinating multi-disciplinary design and procurement of complex projects.
- Managing EPCM projects across delivery phases (design → construction → commissioning).
- Procureing and managing construction contracts.
- Budgetary, schedule, risk, and change control (preferably with Earned Value Management (EVM) expertise).
- Srategic contract negotiation and claim resolution.
- End-to-end project lifecycle experience (e.g. Sellenik European Battery Projects).oning

Desirable:
- Direct experience in nuclear or similarly high-risk, regulated industries.
- Formal project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile).
- Hands-on experience procuring or installing equipment for nuclear/ infrastructure sites.
- Basic operative knowledge of French.
