What you will be doing

Ricoh are currently recruiting for a Project Manager on a FTC, based in our London offices who will own and manage the delivery of assigned projects within schedule and quality constraints. As part of the role you will also be responsible for managing all communications across the delivery team of the project and reporting delivery status, risks and issues arising through the engagement.

Additionally you will be required to support global projects by working under the supervision of a Global Project Manager as part of a broader Project Team, by managing the delivery of assigned work packages within the overall engagement and collaborating with the owning Global Project Manager to minimise rework and maximise customer satisfaction.

  • Promoting the wider public good in all actions, acting in a morally, legally and socially appropriate manner in dealings with stakeholders and members of project teams and the organisation
  • Adopting the 7 Ricoh Way Values
  • Be a strong team player with a particular focus on enabling the objectives of the project and applying project management practices.
  • Develop / maintain implementation schedules for all assigned project / work package activities and events, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements. Contribute as instructed to the development and timely update of project initiation and control documentation.
  • Properly brief the delivery team members to ensure that the requirements of the implementation schedule are understood, track / report status and support the proactive escalation of requests for help from the work teams.
  • Coordinate assignment of necessary resources to perform project activities.
  • Responsible for identification and proactive management of project / work package risks, escalating issues where necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support and implement project change control.

You will ideally have

Ideal candidates will have previous experience of working in a similar Project Management focused role, and ideally will be working towards, or be in possession of, a minimum project management certification in one of the following recognised project management standards: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or PRINCE2 Foundation or APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ), and demonstrable progress towards attaining the more advanced PMI PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner or APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ).

Successful candidates will have proficiency in MS Office, incl. MS Project and MS Visio and be accustomed to working with project planning tools and techniques, project management principles, governance and compliance.

Candidates who are degree educated or hold similar professional qualification and the ITIL v3 Foundation or ITIL 4 Foundation would be highly desirable.

Preferably candidates will have a proven ability to lead and own projects (or other equivalent work) and to develop relationships with key customer contacts and stakeholders.
