Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of several construction projects within an active quarry environment. The role is responsible for managing all aspects of project execution including planning, health & safety, commercial performance, subcontractor coordination, programme delivery, and stakeholder management from initial mobilisation through commissioning and handover.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civils, industrial construction, quarry infrastructure, and asphalt plant installations, with proven experience managing complex multi-disciplinary projects in high-risk operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead the full lifecycle delivery of civils and asphalt plant build projects within operational quarry sites.
  • Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring milestones, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
  • Coordinate all site activities including earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete works, foundations, retaining structures, roads, utilities, weighbridges, and plant installation interfaces.
  • Manage procurement of materials, subcontractors, and specialist plant suppliers.
  • Oversee commissioning activities and final project handover.

Health, Safety & Environmental Management

  • Ensure compliance with UK health & safety legislation including CDM Regulations and quarry-specific safety requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all contractors and site personnel.
  • Review and approve RAMS, permits to work, lifting plans, and temporary works procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure environmental controls are maintained regarding dust suppression, fuel handling, noise, drainage, and waste management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
