Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager to lead and oversee the successful execution of initiatives for Forster Charity. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with exceptional organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. This role requires strong communication and leadership abilities to ensure alignment across teams and stakeholders, driving impactful outcomes for the charity’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop detailed project plans, outlining scope, timeline, resources, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives and align them with the charity’s goals.

Execution and Monitoring:

  • Oversee day-to-day project activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and roadblocks.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, external partners, and beneficiaries.
  • Foster effective communication channels to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and motivate project teams, ensuring collaboration and accountability.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to team members as needed.

Quality Assurance and Reporting:

  • Ensure deliverables meet high standards of quality and align with the charity’s values.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to the charity’s leadership and stakeholders.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Track expenses and report financial performance against project goals.

Innovation and Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to enhance project delivery processes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management, ideally within the nonprofit or charity sector.
  • Strong understanding of budget management, risk assessment, and reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Commitment to Forster Charity’s mission and values.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in community-focused initiatives.
  • Knowledge of fundraising or donor management systems.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
