About the Role

As part of our ongoing Service Design and Transformation, you’d join our central team of Service Project Managers to drive excellence in transition, delivery and operational readiness.
We’re looking for a dynamic, skilled Service Transition & Project Manager to own the seamless delivery of IT projects and transition activities from implementation through to operational handover. Working across service transition, project governance, change management and continuous improvement, your mission is to ensure aligned services drive customer and organisational success.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Transition Leadership
- Lead end-to-end project delivery using recognised methodologies like Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid.
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), resource plans, budgets, and workflows.
- Produce and maintain all core project documentation (governance packs, status reports) adhering to PMO standards, delivery models, and quality controls.

Service Transition & Readiness
- Own service transition planning for new/changed services.
- Define service readiness criteria, acceptance requirements, support models, and operational documentation.
- Ensure operations readiness: train, equip, and brief Service Desk, Support, SDMs and SMEs for go-live.
- Be the primary contact for project/transition stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, and third-party suppliers.
Decision-Making & Collaboration
- Drive decision-making, change requests, clear adjustments to baselines, risk validation, and governance checkpoints.
- Build trusted relationships across technical, operational, and business stakeholders.
- Escalate and manage issues calmly, minimising impact on delivery and customer satisfaction.
Pre-Sales, Improvement, and Growth
- Contribute to RFPs, bids, and proposals, including transition and delivery assumptions, scope, and risk inputs.
- Define transition plans, costing estimations, and recommendations during pre-sales engagements.
- Capture and drive lessons learned to improve future projects, standardise templates, and mature service transition and project management practices.
Qualifications & Experience

Ideal candidates are professionals with:
- 8–10+ years of experience in service transition, project delivery, change management, or similar IT service roles.
- Strong expertise in multi-supplier, complex, fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in risk, issue, and dependency management.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority but build rapport with vendors and key stakeholders.
- Inductive mindset and adaptability to evolving priorities.
- Solid grasp of ITIL Service Transition and project management frameworks (e.g., PMP/PRINCE2 certifications a plus).
Flexibility includes:
