About The Role

Due to continued growth in the Northwest region, TSA Riley is seeking to appoint a Project Manager to strengthen our project management team.

Our 2 offices in the region—located in central Manchester and Bolton—allow the successful candidate to work out of either office as convenient.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and expanding project management team, working with a diverse range of clients on projects across the breadth of the built environment.

The role provides great opportunities for career development within a growing business, along with the chance to gain exposure in delivering a variety of services to clients. Typically, you will engage with pre-construction, development management, and delivery stage PM services.

We welcome applications from candidates with a strong foundation of project management experience, gained in consultancy or client-facing environments, across multiple sectors of the built environment. Ideal candidates should be looking to further develop their careers in a respected, expanding consultancy.

About Your Responsibilities

Our Project Managers manage project delivery, including scope, budget, safety, and programme coordination, with insights from consultants, contractors, and stakeholders. They ensure quality and performance throughout the project lifecycle while supporting strong client outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking ownership of planning, procurement, coordination, and consultant inputs to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Leading meetings, site coordination, and project documentation across assigned workstreams.
  • Monitoring programme and cost performance, identifying deviations, and supporting corrective actions.
  • Tracking project risks, opportunities, and commercials, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Resolving conflicts, challenges, and delays to keep projects on track.
  • Preparing project reports, updates, and records using TSA Riley systems and templates.
  • Maintaining clear, responsive communication with clients, contractors, and delivery partners.
  • Managing client expectations to foster satisfaction and long-term trusted relationships.
  • Collaborating with project teams to support performance, exchange knowledge, and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Ensuring project risk, safety, and compliance alignment with TSA Riley standards.
  • Contributing to proposals, sector initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.

About You:

Experience and qualifications required:

  • Several years of post-qualification experience in construction-related projects, either in a client-side or consulting environment. This role does not suit applicants from fields like IT, marketing, or finance.
  • A tertiary qualification relevant to project management in the built environment, such as ‘Construction Project Management’ or similar.
  • Proven project management experience in the built environment, preferably involving residential, retail, commercial, healthcare, leisure, or industrial sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of the entire project lifecycle, including procurement, design coordination, delivery, and contract administration.
  • Curiosity and adaptability to work across multiple sectors, secondments, and environments (public and private).
  • Proficiency in digital tools for project reporting, tracking, and documentation.
  • A reputation for high-quality work combined with a collaborative, effective working style.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to support project delivery.
  • Experience working in agile environments and contributing to cross-functional teams.
