Project Manager - Marine Coordination
Company Overview OEG is a leading energy solutions business, providing mission critical infrastructure assets and services to the global offshore energy industry. Through our specialist divisions - topside, marine, subsea, cables, logistics and industrials, we are a pivotal link in the global offshore energy project chain, ensuring our customers’ projects are delivered safely, reliably and efficiently. We are currently seeking a Project Manager - Marine Coordination to join our Marine Division.
Location Hunmanby, Portland or Widnes, United Kingdom. Hybrid working - monthly attendance at the OEG office is required.
Core Purpose Oversee all phases of project planning, preparation, and execution, ensuring full compliance with contractual requirements and alignment with client expectations. Provide day-to-day management of Marine Coordinators across multiple sites, ensuring effective coordination, support, and performance management. Provide guidance and support throughout all project phases to ensue the successful and timely delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Project Management: Ensure the safe, efficient, and commercially successful delivery of assigned projects, in line with direction from the Head of Marine Coordination. Maintain full understanding and oversight of all commercial and technical aspects of project contracts, ensuring effective control and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Liaise with the Head of Department and Senior Project Managers to coordinate and ensure the effective delivery of requested services. Act as the primary point of contact for marine coordination project delivery, ensuring effective communication and coordination between all stakeholders. Provide regular project status and progress updates to the Head of Marine Coordination, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues as appropriate. Conduct site visits during project execution, where appropriate, to monitor progress, support project delivery, and ensure compliance with operational requirements. Maintain project plans, documentation, and tracking tools, ensuring all information is accurate, current, and reflects the latest project status and requirements. Review and approve project documentation, including weekly and monthly reports. Conduct project debriefs upon completion, capturing lessons learned, client feedback and opportunities for continuous improvement. Collaborate with the Head of Marine Coordination and Business Development team as required to ensure a seamless transition from tendering through to the operational phase.

Personnel Management: Liaise with the WPD team to support manpower planning and recruitment requirements as needed. Ensure all projects are appropriately resourced in line with client requirements. Maintain the training matrix for personnel and projects, ensuring the Training Department is kept informed of any contractual changes to mandatory qualification requirements. Liaise with relevant agencies and internal teams to support the application and processing of work visas and permits. Create and post job adverts as required to support recruitment activities.

Cost Management: Manage project budgets throughout the project lifecycle, including any approved extensions, ensuring delivery remains within agreed commercial terms. Ensure all project KPIs are achieved and monitored throughout delivery. Review and approve contractor and employee timesheets. Reconcile and verify contractor invoices monthly. Review and approve project invoices as required. Complete monthly project trackers and review and approve project proformas prior to submission to the client.
Skills and Experience Previous industry experience is essential, with demonstratable senior-level experience within the marine sector. Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships. Highly organised with strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to approach tasks in a structured and logical manner. Proficient in IT applications and tools, including Microsoft Office. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Qualifications IOSH Managing Safely qualification. Project management certification (e.g. APM or PRINCE2) is desirable.
