About the Role

As a Project Manager within 4C Strategies' EMEA Defence team, based in Warminster, UK, you will lead the delivery of complex, high-value defence software projects that support defence organisations in strengthening readiness, resilience, and operational capability. You will lead on all our maritime projects, building close working relationships with our Royal Navy customer. A maritime background or relevant experience is highly beneficial and our preference for this role.

Working closely with customers, consultants, solution architects, and engineering teams, you will be responsible for delivering projects from planning through deployment and into support. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project plans, oversee governance, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

You will act as the primary delivery contact for all maritime projects, building trusted customer relationships through clear communication, structured project management, and proactive stakeholder engagement. While working alongside technical specialists who develop solution designs and technical deliverables, your role is to lead project execution, coordinate delivery activities, and ensure successful outcomes for both customers and 4C Strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex defence software projects, ensuring successful execution within agreed scope, budget, quality, and timelines.
  • Lead delivery across all maritime projects, acting as the primary point of contact for our Royal Navy customer.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate project plans, schedules, and resource requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Translate customer and technical requirements into structured delivery plans in collaboration with Engineering, Consultancy, and Solution Architecture teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration between Product, Engineering, Consultancy, and Customer Success functions.
  • Act as the primary delivery interface for assigned customers, maintaining strong relationships through clear communication, regular reporting, and proactive expectation management.
  • Manage project governance, risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely escalation and resolution where required.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable security, accreditation, contractual, and quality requirements throughout project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and forecasts, supporting effective commercial management within agreed contractual boundaries.
  • Identify opportunities to expand customer engagements and contribute delivery expertise to contract changes, proposals, and business development activities.
  • Represent 4C Strategies professionally with customers, partners, and at relevant industry events, including maritime and naval defence forums where relevant.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery practices, governance, and methodologies across the EMEA Defence organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
