ABOUT THE JOB

We're looking for a Project Manager to join our team.

In this role, you'll lead the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. From initial client kick-off through to final delivery, you'll build strong customer relationships and provide clear leadership throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Working across multiple concurrent projects, you'll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project plans, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure stakeholders remain informed and engaged every step of the way. You'll also take ownership of project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, invoicing, and reporting, helping to deliver successful outcomes for both our clients and the business.

SUMMARY OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

  • Work with clients to plan the execution of projects and to report on progress.
  • Actively engage in continuous learning to enhance technical skills and knowledge of Manufacturing Digital Systems, and industry best practices, while proactively exploring new technologies, methodologies, and quality improvements.
  • Manage the costing of validations and support new Opportunities costing based on previous project lessons learned.
  • Lead a project team, bringing out the best in individuals.
  • Develop/ refine methods of working to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Flag to Business Unit lead where aspect of project quality or deliverables is at risk.
  • Plan and sequence activities; plan resources; develop schedules.
  • Produce Project Management Plan and other project documents.
  • Give clear, effective presentations to internal management on status of their work.
  • Identify and champion changes and improvements as opportunities arise.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Communicate and report to relevant stakeholders and colleagues to ensure project success.
  • Accurately report on project delivery, highlighting successes, failures and recovery plans.
  • Provide project accurate resourcing to enable an up to date resource planning and control of resource.
  • Manage unacceptable and challenging behaviours, escalating when appropriate.
  • Give clear, effective presentations to internal management on status of their work.
  • Use the estimated time and cost for the project to develop a budget.
  • Ensure that each project is successfully delivered to time and budget and within the cash flow plan.
  • Analyse risks; manage risks and issues; monitor and report on progress.
  • Lead project in line with agile methodology, including keeping planning boards up to date and participating in daily scrums.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, procedures and protocols and promptly escalates situations where procedures are not adhered to.
  • Assist with any other duties reasonably requested and in line with the requirements of the post.
  • Suggest changes and improvements if opportunities arise.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for:

Experience and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of IT/OT.
  • Experience of management of risk.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Project.
  • Experience working on client sites.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a computing related degree, engineering related subject or in a commercial discipline.

Skills and Abilities

  • Good verbal, written and presentation skills for effective collaboration and client interaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple work scopes from multiple clients and work with teams of engineers to deliver these scopes.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, with all stakeholders from the customer to internal engineers and management.
  • Excellent ability to capture information, analyse it, and articulate an appropriate solution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at the appropriate level for the audience.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers at a senior level in a manner that instils confidence.
  • Persuasive, and able to overcome resistance from third parties, such that the project’s goals are achieved.
  • Capable of managing others to achieve successful outcomes as a team.
  • The ability to demonstrate good principles of leadership and management.
