Project Manager - South West Division
Potensis Selection is delighted to partner with an award-winning Mixed-Use Developer, seeking a Project Manager to join its dynamic South West division. This role is pivotal in the management of complex projects, ensuring that programme, Quality and Cost targets are achieved in accordance with the build programme through effective management of the Site team and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Help to co-ordinate trades, direct labour and materials to meet the production programme, and maintain the optimum level of materials on-site to ensure the site team is fully and effectively employed.
- Ensure all units are produced to a consistently high standard of quality, complying with NHBC requirements and the Building Regulations.
- Monitor Quality Control and Customer Service procedures, and investigate customer complaints during the production cycle promptly. Ensure that defects are remedied, and recurrence is prevented.
- Monitor and control the cost of production, and approve payments to sub-contractors.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and relevant legislation, and accompany authorised persons during Health and Safety or regulatory inspections.
- Conduct and attend site inspections by the Local Building Inspector or NHBC under the Building Regulations.
- Liaise with internal colleagues, Line Managers, and external suppliers/contacts to ensure the build programme progresses successfully.

- Ensure the on-site Construction team is fully resourced, well-directed, and supported with clear guidelines. Provide support in achieving job roles through communication, training, development, and effective organisation of workload and resources.
Key Requirements

Experience running low-rise apartments, including both Reinforced Concrete (RC) Frame and Traditional build.

Extensive experience working within established build programs.

A compelling communicator with a high level of detail orientation.

Assertive and capable of ensuring delivery of targets by the on-site team, trades, and labour.

Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs, with demonstrated problem-solving ability.

In-depth knowledge of all aspects of the construction trade and relevant legislative requirements, such as:
- Health and Safety
- NHBC requirements
- Building Regulations
