Job Overview
The Project Manager (critical) ensures the successful end-to-end delivery of New Product Development (NPD), Innovation, and Supply Chain projects, aligned with business priorities and timelines. This role unites cross-functional teams to drive clarity, alignment, and pace, facilitating high-quality execution and informed decision-making. You will apply effective project management practices to mitigate risk, resolve challenges, and maintain momentum.
The position adds value by strengthening collaboration, refining ways of working, and delivering impactful project outcomes across the wider function.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver NPD & TSC projects positively, proactively, on time, and within budget.
- Oversee the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of NPD projects across varying complexity levels.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through regular, clear, and effective communication with all stakeholders and team members.
- Collaborate with the Project Lead to plan and define project scope, including clearly outlining stakeholders’ responsibilities.
- Use appropriate project tools and schedules for activity planning, and lead project meetings to foster team engagement and support.
- Ensure projects remain on track, stakeholders are aligned, and risks, blockages, or potential issues are highlighted promptly.
- Identify and proactively address risks throughout the project lifecycle, working with the team to implement solutions that minimize adverse impacts.
- Influence, manage, brief, and coordinate teams across:
- Global CS&I (including Research & Innovation, NPD, and Supply Innovation)
- Tea Supply Chain (e.g., Manufacturing, Technical, Procurement, Data Team, Finance, Supply Chain)
- External stakeholders (e.g., design agencies, material suppliers, co-packers).
- Create and implement project timelines and ensure they are properly monitored.
- Coordinate first production in production areas and oversee implementation until final product approval.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project statuses and key milestones in the NPD Gateway system.
- Update systems (e.g., EDC for estimated costings), KPIs, and Data Bridges with relevant data to enable project delivery.
- Collaborate with other Project Managers to support additional projects, identify process improvement opportunities, and share best practices.

Core Requirements
Skills & Experience
✔ Proven experience managing end-to-end projects, including concurrently delivering multiple initiatives of varying complexity.
✔ Demonstrable expertise in FMCG or consumer goods, with a strong understanding of product development and supply chain environments.
✔ Proven ability to lead across large, cross-functional, and virtual teams, ensuring engagement, alignment, and delivery outcomes.

✔ Demonstrated experience in managing and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, to drive effective decision-making.
✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify risks/issues, and take strategic action.
✔ Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, enabling the ability to lead efficient meetings and clarify expectations across stakeholders.
✔ Customer-focused mindset with a sharp bias for action and delivery-driven approach.
✔ A formal project management qualification, such as PRINCE2, PMP, or an equivalent.
✔ Experience integrating external partners/suppliers within project environments.
✔ Exposure to global or multi-market project delivery.
✔ Contribution to process improvement or transformation initiatives.
