Norwood Specialises
Norwood specialises in designing, manufacturing, and installing innovative demountable partition systems, ceilings, doors, and accessories. Working with architects, main contractors, and end users, we create flexible, dynamic, and highly specified spaces - from compliant cleanrooms and laboratories to contemporary and stylish offices. We operate within life sciences, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and high-tech regulated sectors across the UK and Europe.
We are a growing business, focussed on developing long-standing relationships with our clients. We aim to be responsive, adaptable, efficient, reliable, and trustworthy, ensuring we always represent the company in the best possible light.
We are part of M Group, a leading infrastructure services business. As an SBU, we combine the strength and scale of a large group with the expertise of a focused specialist team. This means you get the best of both - support, stability, and the chance to work on complex, high-quality projects.
We are growing and building long-term client relationships. You’ll be joining a team that values being reliable, adaptable, and easy to work with.
You will report to the Project Director, based at our Stockport office and manufacturing facility.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Project Manager, you will be the main point of contact for your clients. You will build strong relationships and make sure projects run smoothly from start to finish.
You will manage projects across the UK. This includes overseeing site teams and making sure everything stays on track.
You will plan projects, manage budgets, and keep work on schedule. You will also coordinate design, manufacturing, and installation. You will provide updates, manage risks, and make sure work meets safety and quality standards.
This role is responsible for managing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities include building strong client and stakeholder relationships, leading site teams, promoting a positive health and safety culture, and planning programmes, budgets, and resources. The role oversees installations, manages snagging activities, and ensures projects are completed efficiently and to specification. Additional duties include preparing key documentation such as RAMS and progress reports, coordinating manufacturing and material deliveries, conducting site surveys, supporting design activities, reporting to senior management, and contributing to business development opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
