Project Manager - Onshore Wind & Solar
Solar / Wind Project Manager – European Wind & Solar (E)
Statkraft is a leading company in hydropower and Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy, specialising in hydrowind, solar, and gas-fired power, while also operating globally in energy market operations. The Group employs around 6,200 people across 20 countries.
The European Wind & Solar (E) business area oversees the development, ownership and execution of maximum potential wind & solar assets in Europe. The team takes on large projects in onshore wind, solar, and battery storage, as well as Statkraft’s group procurement operations and new business opportunities.
About the Role
We are looking to recruit a Solar/Wind Project Manager to support our Project Delivery Unit, executing major renewable energy infrastructure projects in the UK & Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery (from pre-construction to completion), ensuring successful completion of solar, wind, and battery storage projects.
- Manage project scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk with stringent control and oversight.
- Coordinate internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders effectively.
- Ensure compliance across HSE, environmental regulations, permitting, and anti-corruption standards.
- Provide regular reports on project progress, governance, documentation, and risks to senior management.
- Oversee tendering and procurement processes, including BoP (Balance of Plant) contract negotiations.
- Support technical design work and oversee site activities as required.
- Leverage Statkraft’s project management systems for effective controls, contracts, safety, risk, and finance management.
- Continuously improve project delivery methods and contribute to the team’s broader goals.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- A degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related discipline.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience delivering renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in construction.
- Strong understanding of renewable technologies (wind, solar, battery storage).
- Hands-on experience in budget management, scheduling, contracts, and full-project delivery from development to operations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office (including MS Project or equivalent) and SharePoint; familiarity with AutoCAD is beneficial.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with clear risk communication and reporting skills.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to fast-paced, changing dynamics.
Language
- Fluent in English (both written & spoken).
