Project Manager – Operations & Safety (Intelligent Infrastructure)

At WSP

WSP is looking for a Project Manager to join our industry-leading Operations & Safety team within Intelligent Infrastructure, where you’ll deliver transformative projects while shaping the future of transport and mobility.

About the Role

WSP’s Intelligent Infrastructure discipline tackles the evolving challenges of transport and mobility—balancing efficiency, sustainability (net zero), zero harm, and digital innovation. Our Operations & Safety team supports strategies, systems, design, and operational monitoring for both internal and external clients. You’ll lead projects with precision, ensuring top-tier quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive project management excellence, bringing market leadership and expertise to deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline—including primary client-facing coordination.
  • Manage project budgets, finances, and Oracle ERP system operations, covering invoicing, cash flow forecasting, and financial control.
  • Ensure client success while achieving utilisation targets, with oversight through performance reviews and corrective action planning (under guidance from the Project Director).
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across clients, project teams, and multi-level colleagues, fostering transparency and trust.
  • Compile and present reports, presentations, documentation (e.g., status updates, quality management plans, financial controls).
  • Direct project methodologies (e.g., proposals, risk management, timelines) tailored to delivery and external requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
