Job Summary / Role Purpose
As part of the operations function of ElectraLink and reporting to the Head of Business Improvement, the Project Manager will be responsible for the successful end to end delivery of ElectraLink projects. You will have an excellent knowledge of project management methodologies e.g. SCRUM & DSDM, appropriate for technology and business-based projects.
The Project Manager will be responsible for all elements of managing & delivering successful project deliveries including financial, risk and stakeholder management. The Project Manager will operate within a defined project framework and be responsible for all reporting expectations of the Head of Business Improvement.
As a small organisation, there is the expectation that you will be fully involved in project delivery, and a can-do attitude is needed to be successful in this role.
What you’ll do:
- Manage and successfully deliver projects and programmes on time, to budget, within the defined project delivery framework.
- Identify and manage appropriate resources to undertake all required project activities.
- Manage all project costs in full, including resource and direct costs to the project, collaborating with the finance department.
- Ensure effective communication with staff and stakeholders (including third parties and suppliers) ensuring project requirements are delivered on time to cost, while supporting wider ElectraLink supplier relationships.
- Build strong productive working relationships and provide effective communication at all levels.
- Promote & champion the benefits of project management within ElectraLink.
- Provide full financial and delivery reports to the Head of Business Improvement and finance business partners.
Your typical week will involve:
- Attending daily standups for projects – 10%
- Project related admin e.g., checking budget and amending plan – 30%
- Organising resources for the project – 10%
- Coordinating project tasks, e.g. working with the wider business for pen-testing – 30%
- Attending project team calls – 10%
- Working with the business to support investment board submissions – 10%

- An understanding of the energy sector/experience working with DNOs.
- Experience in data and software projects.
- Demonstrable project management skills & strong experience working within a project management framework.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage, prioritise and complete multiple tasks.
- A track record of ensuring projects are delivered to a deadline and to a budget.
- An understanding of project finances, with the ability to maintain the necessary relationships with the Finance Team.
- Outstanding collaboration skills and be a strong team player.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Track record of various programme and project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, SCRUM, DSDM etc.
- Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment is essential.
Highly desirable skills:
- Experience in business case and strategy development.
- Experience in managing multiple projects whilst maintaining excellent communications with stakeholders and managing Senior Management Team expectations.
