THE TEAM

Join JSM Group, a leading provider of integrated utility infrastructure solutions across the UK and Europe. Our engineering teams deliver complex power and communications projects that support next-generation connectivity.

You’ll be part of a high-performing engineering function working across pre-construction and delivery, solving complex civil challenges and driving technical excellence across major cable route projects.

SCOPE OF ROLE

As an Engineering Project Manager / Project Engineer, you will lead the civil and technical delivery of cable route projects from feasibility through to completion. Acting as the bridge between pre-construction and operations, you’ll coordinate multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, buildable solutions across complex environments.

A key focus of the role is optioneering and feasibility, identifying the most effective methods to navigate SEDs and pinch points across infrastructure such as highways, rail, watercourses and tunnels.

Location: Potters Bar (Hybrid)

How You'll Succeed

  • Take ownership of civil engineering delivery across cable route projects
  • Lead optioneering and feasibility studies to determine best crossing methodologies
  • Align technical design with real-world construction delivery
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients and statutory stakeholders
  • Anticipate risks early and resolve engineering challenges proactively
  • Drive high standards across safety, quality, programme and cost

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
