Project Manager / 12-Month Day Rate Contractor / Inside IR35
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a track record of delivering complex technology change programmes? We're looking for a PM to lead the successful delivery of large-scale IT and business change projects across our organisation.
Working within our digital function, you'll be responsible for managing projects from initiation through to deployment and operational handover, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on project professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and can confidently engage stakeholders at all levels.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead complex IT projects and programmes from requirements gathering through to implementation and handover
- Define scope, budgets, project plans and delivery roadmaps
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards
- Delivery approach across methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid
- Manage internal and third-party resources, balancing priorities across multiple workstreams
- Build strong relationships across IT, operational teams, senior business stakeholders and external partners
- Proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies and governance requirements
- Produce and present project reporting, business cases, steering committee packs and delivery updates
- Influence stakeholders up to Director level to support successful change delivery
- Support continuous improvement and champion project management best practice across the wider team

Essential Experience
What we're looking for
- Significant experience managing large-scale IT projects and programmes through the full project lifecycle
- Proven success leading cross-functional teams in complex delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior leadership level
- Experience managing project budgets, risks, resources and delivery plans
- Strong experience working within Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid delivery frameworks
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience producing project documentation including business cases, cost-benefit analyses and governance reports
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments where priorities can change quickly

Desirable Experience
- Experience within the energy, utilities or metering sector
- Knowledge of SaaS systems such as Microsoft Dynamics and/or Azure technologies
- Previous experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner or similar change focused role
- Experience mentoring or managing project team members
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, IT or a related discipline (desirable)
- Project Management, Agile, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma or related certifications (desirable)

- Microsoft Project
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
- Azure DevOps
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and infrastructure projects
