Senior Project Manager (Front Office Transformation)
Location: Belfast | Salary: Approx. £100,000 | Contract: 1YR Fixed-Term
Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager within our Markets Front Office Transformation team to deliver material business and regulatory change initiatives. This pivotal role requires exceptional communication and diplomacy skills to negotiate internally, influence senior stakeholders, guide cross-functional teams, and engage external clients. You will provide authoritative advice on operations, analyze large datasets to uncover key themes, leverage deep product knowledge, and drive technical strategy in close collaboration with Sales & Trading, Legal, Business Management, Operations, and IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Planning & Delivery: Direct day-to-day program activities, create project plans and charters, secure funding, and ensure alignment with strategic business goals. Drive strict adherence to established program delivery standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with senior management and key stakeholders. Effectively communicate project status, issues, and risks while securing necessary resource commitments.
- Scope & Data Analysis: Define program scope, business cases, and cost-benefit analyses. Analyze and critically assess large datasets to inform robust program scoping and strategic direction.
- Risk Management: Lead the identification, escalation, and resolution of program risks, developing and executing robust mitigation strategies.
- Team Leadership & Resourcing: Manage functional teams, evaluate performance, and oversee overall staffing requirements and vendor performance to meet operational needs.
- Governance & Compliance: Oversee the implementation of new or updated regulations for Markets businesses. Ensure strict compliance with applicable laws, ethical standards, and company policies, transparently escalating control issues to safeguard the firm and its clients.
- Financial Oversight: Contribute to budget planning and policy formulation.

Qualifications & Experience
- Industry Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience within a Tier 1 Capital Markets, Banking, or Consulting environment.
- Project Delivery: Proven track record of delivering complex regulatory or business-driven projects within Financial Services.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of capital markets products, asset classes, and the trade lifecycle (e.g., Markets operational trade flows). Solid awareness of regulatory rules is required.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in the MS Office Suite and experience utilizing AI platforms. Demonstrated ability to analyze and critically assess large datasets.
- Certifications: Project Management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2) are highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
