Project Manager

Project Manager Permanent, Sheffield

Job Summary: Are you an organised Project Manager with a passion for delivering successful projects and providing exceptional customer service?

We’re looking for a proactive individual to join our client’s team in Sheffield, where you’ll play a key role in coordinating projects, supporting customers, and ensuring operations run smoothly from planning through to completion.


Location & Hours:

  • Base: Sheffield
  • Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Employment Type: Permanent
  • Salary: DOE

About the Role

The Project Manager will oversee projects end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery, resource efficiency, and high customer satisfaction. This involves strategic coordination, stakeholder support, and operational excellence in an engineering/technical environment.


Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Coordination

  • Manage projects from handover to successful completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate all aspects of project execution, including engineering teams, project scheduling, and resource allocation.

Technical & Customer Support

  • Provide first-line customer and technical support, addressing queries and resolving issues to maintain smooth operations.
  • Liaise with internal/external stakeholders toAlign project goals with business objectives and end-user needs.

Operational Governance

  • Oversee stock levels, procurement processes, and operational planning to minimise disruptions.
  • Work closely with internal teams (production, logistics, engineering) to optimise workflows and ensure project consistency and quality.

Requirements

Experience & Qualification

  • Proven experience in project management, operations coordination, or a related technical environment (engineering, manufacturing preferred).
  • Familiarity with industry standards, workflow tools (e.g., project management software, ERP systems), and technical documentation is advantageous.
  • Anecdotal or formal qualification in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, APM), operations, or a scientific/engineering discipline is desirable.
