About the role
As part of Vestacy’s R&D organisation you work closely with all R&D functions around the globe as well as supply, procurement, regional/category marketing/commercial teams and external partners. The team deliver projects to drive business results that outperform the market and maintain or achieve brand leadership within the category while maximising profitability. This is a role which requires having in-depth technical knowledge, project leadership, team development and communication skills.

Your responsibilities
- Interface on a regular basis with Supply, Procurement, Quality, Marketing, External –Suppliers and Technology partners
- Delivering projects, method and data interpretation and strategies to agreed targets within an assigned portfolio/scope of responsibility in accordance with agreed innovation pipeline, budget, resources, and timing
- To deliver assigned projects and activities for the introduction of new development projects and enhancement of existing products in line with the defined category strategy.
- Strong communication skills with key stakeholders (marketing, supply, SQRC etc).
- Strong risk awareness / problem solving skills together with knowledge of how to overcome obstacles by getting support from others (i.e. experts).
- Work closely with innovation and consumer science team, to ensure that projects and technologies are transferred seamlessly and supported to become successful market launches.
- To support format and understand the key consumer needs for the support of the product innovation pipeline.
- To be accountable for liaison with appropriate technical development and supply chain personnel; to ensure completion of all activities to plan and successful handover to supply and launch to the market.
- Good understanding of the operating model, ensuring all key documentation is in placed based on the corresponding SOPs.

The experience we're looking for
- Understanding of the qualification requirements of R&D validation & production success criteria.
- Self-starting and capable of working independently with technical curiosity to improve and solve complex problems.
- Capable of building strong working relationships and strong networking skills with excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret results from lab tests through statistical analysis of testing data
- Strong intellectual curiosity, appetite for exploring new and previously uncharted territories
- Good communication skills both written and oral in English and good presentation skills
- Be able to understand the key consumer needs and turn them into viable product concepts through leveraging new or existing technologies, scientific principles or methods.
