Job Title: Project Manager- Regulatory Change– Retail Energy
Location: Euston, London (Hybrid – 2 Days per Week Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months+
Rate: 600 GBP/Day Inside IR35
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading Retail Energy client on a major transformation programme supporting critical business and operational readiness activities.
The successful candidate will lead the planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of business readiness initiatives, ensuring key programme milestones are delivered successfully. This role requires strong project management, business change, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple business and technology teams.
Previous experience delivering regulatory change, business transformation, or customer-focused programmes within the Energy or Utilities sector would be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and deliver project activities to ensure successful programme delivery.
- Coordinate business readiness and operational change activities across multiple workstreams.
- Manage project plans, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Service Owners, and business stakeholders.
- Lead workshops, meetings, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to senior stakeholders.
- Support business process improvements, customer journey enhancements, and operational readiness activities.
- Ensure effective governance, reporting, and programme documentation.
- Collaborate with third-party suppliers and delivery partners.
- Support go-live planning and readiness activities for major programme milestones.

Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering business change or transformation programmes.
- Strong experience managing business readiness, operational change, or regulatory change initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, and governance.
- Strong planning, coordination, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work across business and technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience facilitating workshops and engaging senior stakeholders.

Desirable Experience
- Experience within the UK Retail Energy or Utilities sector.
- Knowledge of UK electricity market, Ofgem, or energy regulations.
- Experience delivering customer-focused transformation or regulatory programmes.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, APMG Change Management, or similar project management certification.
