About the Role

The Data Center Project Manager plays a critical role in improving the operation and lifecycle of the EMEA data center campuses. They will be tasked with managing construction activities within operational data centers while maintaining resiliency and availability for the customer. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities including project planning, contracts, execution, and closeout. They will solve highly technical problems using creativity, technical acumen, and experience in similar roles.


Main Responsibilities

  • Project management of multi-disciplinary modifications in existing data centers including the installation of new or modification of existing equipment
  • Project scope of work creation for request for proposals
  • Capital requests for improvement projects
  • Collaborate with vendors to design solutions that are dependable, repeatable, with predictable results
  • Work with partner teams and stakeholders to schedule implementation of work as to not interrupt service to our customers or normal maintenance and operational activities
  • Deliver project turnover with required documentation (warranties, redlines, completed procedures, sequence of operations, etc.)
  • Contribute to root cause analysis of failures that occur during any phase of assigned projects
  • Maintain KPIs and SLAs with customers and key stakeholders
  • Develop strong relationships with vendors, customers
  • Support and ensure document management at project closeout

Qualifications and experience

  • Proven planning and project management skills
  • PMP certification is preferred
  • Technical experience that includes mechanical, electrical, fire protection/detection, AND building automated controls
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be able to communicate articulately, positively and effectively
  • Good judgement and instincts around problem solving and decision making
  • Working knowledge of O365 suite
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a critical operational environment (in a similar role) is required
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (English)
