Project Manager
Project Manager – Army Collective Training Services (ACTS) Subcontract
About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to act as the Calian UK Ltd focal point for all project management activities throughout the ACTS Subcontract with RUK (Rivolvista UK), leading the implementation of the Subcontractor Statement of Work (SSoW).
As part of the Army Collective Training Services (ACTS) programme, you will support the transformation of the British Army’s training system by delivering Audiences, Actors, Adversaries, Enemies and Specialists Supporting Services (A3ES) in collaboration with leading defence training organisations.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact, collaborative environment, focused on delivering operational excellence and ensuring the British Army’s readiness objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage Calian UK Ltd’s contribution to the ACTS programme.
- Fulfill all project management activities related to the services provided.
- Direct Calian UK Ltd personnel responsible for delivering A3ES, ensuring achievement and exceedance of mandated performance standards.
- Manage project costs in line with project revenue.
- Build trust and confidence through strong working relationships with:
- colleagues across Calian UK Ltd
- RUK
- project partners
- suppliers
- military personnel
- Manage resources against competing priorities.
- Ensure compliance with Calian UK Ltd Quality Management Procedures.
- Provide line management to personnel as instructed.
- Deploy to military training exercises and activities in the UK and overseas as required to support A3ES delivery.

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience operating within joint or matrixed teams
- Project management experience, with a PRINCE2 qualification and preferably an APMP qualification
- Ability to communicate effectively with military and industry partners
- Proven track record of delivering operational and performance excellence outcomes
- Understanding of military individual and collective training regime requirements
- Experience managing unpredictable deadlines and surge activity
- Ability to concurrently manage multiple work packages
- Knowledge of training and operational demands for military personnel and formations

Additional Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to operate with minimal guidance while maintaining a collaborative and professional approach
Additional Requirements
- Primary work location: LWC, Waterloo Lines, Warminster (Monday–Friday, 0900–1700)
- Alternative location: Calian UK Ltd office, Huntingford
- Commitment to collaborative, multi-organisational working for a shared mission objective
- Willingness to travel and deploy in support of UK and overseas training activities
Compensation
- £82,500
