Project Manager - Systems Implementation
IT Project Manager – Low Code Platform Implementation
Outside IR35 | 6 Months | Hybrid (Manchester – 2 days per week onsite)
We have an opportunity for a IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of a low-code CRM/workflow automation platform within a growing financial services organisation.
This is a hands-on delivery role in a low-maturity project environment, where governance, templates, and delivery structures are still being established. The successful contractor will need to ** create structure while delivering**, taking ownership of both delivery execution and light-touch governance setup.
Responsibilities
Lead Implementation & Governance
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of the selected low-code platform.
- Establish pragmatic, lightweight project governance.
- Create and maintain core delivery artefacts, including:
- Project plans
- RAID logs (Risks, Appeals, Issues, Dependencies)
- Reporting
- Change control procedures
Delivery & Stakeholder Management
- Manage delivery across business and technical workstreams.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and third-party implementation partners.
- Facilate workshops and support hands-on requirements gathering (Business Analyst activities required).
- Drive delivery momentum, proactively managing:
- Risks
- Issues
- Dependencies
- Provide clear and consistent reporting to senior stakeholders.

Requirements
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:
- Proven IT Project Management experience delivering low-code CRM/workflow automation platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management across business and technical teams.
- Experience working in low-governance or immature delivery environments, where structure must be created from the ground up.
- Hands-on hybrid Project Manager / Business Analyst capability, including:
- Facilitating workshops
- Gathering requirements directly with business users
- Preference for Financial Services sector experience, with lending expertise highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Jira.

About You
You are a self-starter who thrives in ambiguous environments and can create structure in chaos. You are:
- Hands-on and delivery-focused (not purely governance- or PMO-led).
- A strong facilitator and communicator, able to engage diverse teams.
- Comfortable "rolling up your sleeves" and performing BA-style work.
- Pragmatic, adaptable, and solutions-oriented.
- Able to influence without relying on formal hierarchy.
- Based within an easy commute to central Manchester.
The Engagement
- Start date: July
- Duration: 6-month contract
- Status: Outside IR35
- Working model: Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite (Manchester) / 3 days UK-based remote
- Note: Contractors must provide services via their own UK Limited Company (Director engagement only).
