The Opportunity
The Transformation Team is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to join a dynamic, transformational workforce. You will:
- Shape future healthcare delivery by leading impactful transformation projects
- Engage with high-visibility senior stakeholders to influence clinical and non-clinical services
- Drive sustainable change that enhances patient care, quality, and organisational efficiency
- Operate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with high levels of ownership
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Delivery
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex transformation projects aligned with the Trust’s strategic objectives
- Ensure projects deliver measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes
- Support service redesign and innovation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement (UHS’ Always Improving ethos)
- Coach and develop colleagues in improvement methodologies, tools, and change management

Stakeholder & Change Management
- Analyse complex data (patient flows, demand/capacity, performance metrics) to identify opportunity areas
- Influence stakeholders at all levels, including clinical and operational teams
- Apply change management to resist resistance and embed new solutions
- Champion patient-centred care, training staff to adopt new working practices
Financial & Programme Oversight
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and with agreed outcomes
- Monitor financial targets, ensuring savings from improvements are tracked and realised
- Manage ambiguity in high-pressure environments to drive transformation
Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Essential Criteria
✔ A First Degree or equivalent experience/diploma ✔ Expertise in recognised service improvement methodologies (comprehensive understanding required at Masters Level equivalence) ✔ Proven project management experience, with formal training/qualifications ✔ Experience facilitating multi-professional teams and presenting complex findings ✔ Strong literacy and report-writing skills ✔ Demonstrated change leadership: evidence of leading major transformations, influencing behaviour, and collaboration ✔ Robust problem-solving capabilities, including technical/data analysis ✔ Ability to lead teams in rapidly evolving environments

Desirable Criteria
🔹 Experience in NHS/healthcare settings 🔹 Comfortable within quality/service improvement environments 🔹 Experience as a coach/facilitator, including:
- Running action learning sets
- QSIR college associate membership
- CoachingQualifications (e.g., ISF-accredited) 🔹 Multidisciplinary engagement, including patient-facing teams 🔹 Knowledge of advanced transformation methodologies
