Project Manager II

Job Summary

The Project Manager II leads cross-functional and complex projects, ensuring alignment with requirements, timelines, and budgets. This role oversees project health—including scope definition, risk management, team coordination, and stakeholder communication—while managing multiple concurrent projects. Collaboration with project teams, leadership, and executives is key.


Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Establish and document project scope and requirements, facilitation stakeholder workshops, and maintain requirement management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and changes.
  • Report daily/weekly progress to team members via regular check-ins and ensure task adherence to plans.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans for schedule, resources, and budget, coordinating with finance leaders, resource managers, and executives.
  • Monitor and track progress metrics, comparing actual performance against timelines and budgets.
  • Deliver comprehensive status updates (formal: monthly/bi-weekly reports; informal: ad-hoc requests, emails) to project stakeholders.
  • Foster open communication with team members, management, and stakeholders, ensuring clarity on risks, issues, goals, and project alignment. -Generate and present recurring status reports (e.g., project overviews, cost tracking). -Continuously improve organizational project management processes and industry best practices. -Analyze project actual costs vs. estimates, reporting on financial status to all managers and stakeholders.

About the Role

This technically oriented PM role requires strategic leadership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will own project success through disciplined execution and collaboration, while ensuring certification of project deliverables against contractual agreements.


Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in any field.
  • Demonstrated experience (3+ years preferred) in project/program management or relevant operational roles.
  • Experience with distributed agile or hybrid teams (preferred).
  • Proven ability to balance prioritization, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written & verbal communication—adaptability to indicative audiences (e.g., executives, clients, team members with varied technical backgrounds).
  • Fast-paced environment acumen: comfort with high-stakes progress, with or without onsite physical office infrastructure.
