Overview
The Project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of customer and internal projects. Project Managers manage high-complexity projects to successful completion from initiation through delivery to closure. In this role, you will coordinate with cross-functional teams and our global customers to complete distinct projects both on time and within budget. Project Managers need to have substantial experience managing IT and software delivery projects. Utilising traditional project management processes, and practical experience of software delivery methodologies such as waterfall and agile project management. The ability to optimise sales channels and back-office operations to maximise operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and define project scope, objectives, resources, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation to ensure successful delivery.
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and adjust plans as needed to meet quality, budget, and time requirements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on status, risks, and deliverables.
- Ensure financial control by forecasting revenue, margins, and utilization, and managing profitability goals.
- Act as the primary escalation point for project issues and maintain strong client relationships.
- Support knowledge sharing through documentation and contribute to business development activities when required.
About You
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
- Knowledge of specific industry project management and technical delivery methodologies for software (e.g., Project Management Institute (PMI) methodologies, agile/scrum, and software SDLC).
- Demonstrated progressive experience managing projects with external customers or clients, preferably enterprise customers. Professional Services experience is a plus.
- Experience using various project management and/or agile tools (MSProjects, Jira, DevOps, ClickUp, Float etc).
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, preferably experience in a hybrid Waterfall / agile environment.
- Set and achieve forecast goals by setting expectations with the customer and working closely with the Technical Architect and project engineers.
- Have an excellent communication capability such that you can help forecast upcoming resource demand, as well as providing project status reports, utilization reports, and other project artefacts.
- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to travel if needed and comply with the company’s travel policy.
