Role Overview
We are looking for a Project Manager to coordinate and manage retrofit, renewable energy, and electrical system projects from initial survey/planning stage through to delivery, quality checks, completion evidence, and handover.
The role will support expansion into Solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers, and ASHP project delivery, while also ensuring continuity of supporting existing EEM and retrofit project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare project budgets, timescales, work schedules, and resource plans based on customer, survey, and project requirements. • Coordinate project teams, installers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other professionals involved in project delivery. • Review surveys, designs, technical information, and installation quality checks from assessors, surveyors, engineers, installers, and other relevant parties. • Coordinate and review Solar PV design information, heat loss calculations, battery storage planning, system calculations, and relevant software outputs such as PVsyst, OpenSolar or equivalent tools, under technical supervision where required. • Coordinate material requirements, installer scheduling, site access, customer appointments, and project documentation. • Monitor progress, quality of work, compliance records, health and safety, and project completion evidence. • Identify defects, snagging issues or technical concerns and arrange corrective action with installers, suppliers, or supervisors. • Collect information required for invoicing, project completion accounts, handover records, and audit files. • Support installer training, SOP preparation, and process improvements in line with company compliance requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
