Probation Period: 3 months

Job Location: Site-based/ Various Sites


About the Role

East West Connect is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the safe, efficient, and commercially successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion.

This is a senior role for someone with strong experience in mechanical and electrical building services, project delivery, health and safety, commercial control, and team leadership.


Scope

You will manage all aspects of project delivery, including planning, programming, procurement, technical coordination, resource management, and day-to-day site operations. The role includes developing tender handovers into full delivery plans, managing risk and compliance, reviewing design and methodology, leading project reporting, and coordinating closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. You will also support business growth by identifying opportunities, promoting EWC professionally, and assisting with tender and proposal activity where required.


Skills

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services and their interface with general building works
  • Experience in project delivery, construction management, commercial management, and contract administration
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation, safe systems of work, and industry best practice
  • Ability to review and develop technical information, drawings, specifications, and procurement schedules
  • Strong planning, programming, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage risk, monitor progress, and drive projects to key milestones
  • Strong analytical skills to assess tender, design, and construction information
  • Good commercial awareness, including cost control, subcontractor management, and profitability
  • Strong IT skills across spreadsheets, reporting, programming, and general project software
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to lead project teams and coordinate internal departments, clients, and supply chain partners

Duties

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Promoting high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality management across all project stages
  • Managing projects from tender handover through procurement, construction, and close-out
  • Preparing and developing CRFs, procurement schedules, risk registers, progress reports, and delivery documentation
  • Reviewing methodologies, technical submittals, drawings, and design information to ensure safe and compliant delivery
  • Raising technical queries and coordinating design workshops to achieve workable project solutions
  • Allocating and managing labor, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to support successful delivery
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions
  • Managing subcontract and material enquiries, package reviews, and pre-order meetings
  • Preparing and presenting financial and commercial project updates to line management
  • Supporting new business opportunities, tender preparation, and client relationship development
  • Maintaining control of project records, site information, and construction documentation
  • Leading meetings including progress meetings, health and safety meetings, subcontractor reviews, design workshops, handovers, and post-contract reviews
