About the Role
We’re seeking a self-motivated, experienced, and highly capable Project Manager to support Kinectrics UK’s High Voltage Field Testing projects portfolio. This remote role demands a proven professional with deep technical knowledge in electricity distribution and transmission, trusted to deliver projects from end-to-end while maintaining safety, cost-efficiency, and timelines.

Reporting directly to a Senior Project Manager, you’ll provide global leadership to the transmission and distribution division, contributing to business growth and operational excellence.
Key Accountabilities
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and reinforce a strong health, safety, and quality culture, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and performance tools.
- Oversee project scope, schedule, cost, and risk management across a portfolio of High Voltage field testing projects, ensuring alignment with performance metrics.
- Organise logistics, equipment shipments, and project coordination, including:
- Staff and resource allocation
- Risk assessment and mitigation
- Risk Assessment Method Statements
- Testing and Commissioning Plans
- Project documentation and programme updates
- Manage finance, sales, and admin teams to align billing, budgeting, and cost controls with project requirements.
- Deliver stakeholder and external meetings, project kick-offs, and status reviews.
- Monitor project momentum and align execution with deliverables timelines.
- CLOSE designated deliverables, capture lessons learned, and implementation of continuous improvements.
- Maximise cost efficiency while ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
- Maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, acting as an executive liaison.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture, mentoring team members and ensuring alignment with company values.
- Drive engineering excellence by implementing cutting-edge practices and technologies.
- Work cross-functionally with customers, supply chain partners, and external teams to achieve project objectives.

Requirements
Essential Competencies
- Proven track record as a Project Manager in the UK energy sector, delivering complex projects within cost/time constraints.
- Proficient in leadership, communication, and stakeholder management, with an ability to influence across disciplines.
- Strong commercial awareness with skills in financial governance, project programming, and business performance analysis.
- Experience navigating governance, workplace safety, and quality assurance frameworks.
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple high-voltage projects simultaneously while balancing strategy and execution.
- Proficient in risk and opportunity management through rigorous analysis and proactive problem-solving.
- Technical proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Project (or similar planning tools) for timeline tracking.
- Commitment to health, safety, and quality (HSE) compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel within Europe as needed.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (preferred).
- Technical or business administration experience is essential.
- Knowledge of electricity distribution/transmission systems and related high-voltage apparatus (advantageous).
