Lead the Way as a Project Manager at VIVO!
Are you ready to take charge of impactful projects within a dynamic and fast-paced environment? At VIVO, we’re seeking an experienced Project Manager or Contracts Manager from a construction or hard services FM background to oversee the successful delivery of Billable Works, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards while delivering outstanding value and service.
In this role, you’ll:
- Lead project delivery from start to finish, working closely with supply chain teams, local representatives, and site managers to align priorities and ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
- Monitor performance indicators, review risk assessments, and ensure all work aligns with statutory regulations and the MoD’s carbon reduction goals.
- Utilize a proactive approach to managing the Maximo system, resolving complaints, and supporting optimal solutions.
- Manage costs, stakeholder expectations, and contract risks with sound commercial acumen and ensure financial commitments align with operational needs.
- Inspire teams to deliver projects that consistently meet KPIs and exceed expectations.

This role will see you project managing the construction and refurbishments of a wide variety of buildings, from medical centres and office buildings to aircraft hangars.
The role will cover 7 sites in the Plymouth area, and the successful candidate will work from their nearest site. This is not a home-based role. Stonehouse Barracks is quite centrally located, so it would be beneficial if you are located nearby, however, we will consider applicants that live anywhere in the Plymouth area.
What You Need To Do The Job
To excel in this role, you’ll bring:
- Demonstrable experience in supervising staff in cradle to grave project management within the construction industry, including leading operational teams, managing stakeholders, controlling costs, and overseeing safe systems of work.
- Expertise in planning, directing, and controlling activities to ensure proactive performance management and effective problem-solving.
- An HND-level qualification in Building/Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related disciplines) or equivalent experience within a Project Management role in the Construction industry.
- A management-level qualification in health and safety, such as SMSTS.
- Developed IT skills in tools like Excel and Word.
