Project Manager

Location: South Yorkshire Hours: Full Time, Permanent

A well-established engineering business is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of complex engineering projects from initial order through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who enjoys working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role offers the chance to work on a varied portfolio of bespoke engineering and fabrication projects across a range of industrial sectors.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of project delivery, ensuring effective communication between engineering, production, procurement, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing multiple engineering projects from contract award through to final completion.
  • Developing and maintaining project programmes, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project delivery.
  • Coordinating internal departments to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Managing commercial performance, including cost control and change management.
  • Monitoring project risks and implementing mitigation strategies where required.
  • Attending customer meetings and site visits as necessary.
  • Producing regular progress reports for both customers and senior management.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety, quality, and contractual requirements.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Project Manager within engineering, manufacturing, or heavy fabrication.
  • A proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project planning software.
