Project Manager (Water Projects)

Project Manager – Water Asset Design

Location: Belfast, UK Employer: WSP

About the Role

At WSP, we empower you to build a career that fits your ambitions and passions. Join our Water Asset Design team, where you’ll lead projects in municipal and non-regulated (industrial/international) water sectors, including wastewater treatment, water treatment, sewerage, and network schemes. Based in Belfast, you’ll manage multidisciplinary teams, drive project delivery, and support clients across the UK in some of the country’s largest water projects.

We’re looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of projects from optioneering to handover, ensuring high-quality delivery and a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

As the Project Manager, you will:

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Plan, execute, monitor, and control projects (infrastructure and non-infrastructure) to meet client objectives.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams, including technical staff and suppliers, fostering collaboration and development.
  • Champion quality, health, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Commercial & Financial Accountability

  • Manage P&L, including revenue delivery, margin, budgeting, forecasting, and overheads.
  • Conduct risk and opportunity reviews, cost controls, and commercial documentation.
  • Oversee accounts payable/billing and cash collection.

Project Governance & Documentation

  • Develop project management plans, risk registers, schedules, cost estimates, and stakeholder registers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of work packages, managing team performance and outputs.
  • Maintain project records, deliverables, and information to meet client requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
