Project Manager (Water Projects - Asset Management)

Project Manager – Asset Management (Water Infrastructure)

WSP – Water Team, UK & Ireland

About the Role

At a time when AMWP8 (the Asset Management Plan for Water) requires major investment in the UK’s water infrastructure, WSP seeks experienced and ambitious professionals to join our multidisciplinary Asset Management team. A unique opportunity to drive large-scale WaterInfrastructure projects, seamlessly integrating technical expertise with commercial and governance leadership.

This role offers:

  • Shaping a high-impact career within one of the world’s leading engineering and consultancy firms.
  • Challenging and meaningful projects that develop essential project delivery, commercial, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hybrid working (2 days in-office) balanced with global collaboration opportunities.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager in our Asset Management team, you will:

Project Lifecycle Leadership

  • Lead the execution and delivery of large water-related infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects for clients across utilities and industrial sectors.
  • Plan, scope, resource, budget and deliver project objectives while managing pooled risk and commitment.
  • Own financial accountability (P&L) including: revenue, margin, budget forecasting, cost controls, invoicing and cash flow management.

Strategic Coordination

  • Develop project documentation (plans, risk registers, schedules, organisation charts, and stakeholder registers) to drive high-quality delivery.
  • Monitor and control schedules, man-hours, and budgets, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
