As part of our Water team, we are seeking an experienced and committed Project Manager to join our Asset Management division. This role supports AMP8 (Asset Management Planning Period 8)—a key phase for water industry infrastructure—and requires you to collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Plan, execute, monitor, and deliver infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects for water industry and industrial clients.
  • Lead and develop multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient delivery.
  • Manage commercial and financial accountability, including:
    • Project planning, scoping, budgeting, and revenue/cost controls.
    • Stakeholder engagement and multi-disciplinary team leadership.
    • Risk and opportunity management, alongside contract administration and change control.
  • Create and maintain essential project documentation, including:
    • Management plans, risk registers, schedules, and stakeholder registers.
    • Monetary and resource forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely, safe, and quality-centric delivery, resolving issues proactively and collecting lessons learned.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience & Skills

✔ Proven track record in delivering infrastructure projects (preferably within the regulated water industry or non-regulated water sector). ✔ Strong working knowledge of the NEC (New Engineering Contract)—accreditation and administration expertise is a significant advantage. ✔ Chartership or membership in a professional institution (e.g. Association for Project Management, Project Management Institute, Institute of Civil Engineers). ✔ Confidence in project management tools and software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera). ✔ Proficiency in commercial, risk, planning/scheduling, and stakeholder management.

Ideal Qualifications

  • A B.Sc./M.Sc. in civil engineering, earth sciences, environmental science, or related field.
  • Chartered status or working towards membership of a professional body.
