Project Manager (Waterfront)

Job Title: Project Manager (Waterfront) Location: HM Naval Base, Portsmouth (HMNBP) Service Area: Infrastructure Programme (Waterfront) Hours of Work: 37 Per week Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £50,000 – 60,000

What you will be doing: As an integral part of the Waterfront Integrated Delivery Team, you will be responsible for delivering allocated projects from scope to completion and handover - taking responsibility for all day-to-day delivery of work within the Waterfront programme, forming part of the wider project delivery function at Portsmouth Naval Base (PNB).

With oversight of the overall project schedule, including the design schedule, you will positively interact as the main Point of Contact with all stakeholders including the client, users and the wider KBS team ensuring effective delivery of works on site. Projects will be either managed in smaller packages or traditionally delivered via a Main Contractor and of varying complexity and value.

For this specific role, having experience of working with Cofferdams, Penstocks, Caisson’s, and marine civils in particular working on or near water would be advantageous.

What you will bring: Proven track record of delivering construction projects to CDM Standards from inception to completion, along with schedule and risk management experience. Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and Projects >£1M; and greater than 12-month duration. Experience of working with Cofferdams, Penstocks, Caisson’s, and marine civils in particular working on or near water would be advantageous. Experience of working in MOD establishments would be advantageous. Knowledge of Statutory Requirements and British Standards. Knowledge of Civil, Electrical & Mechanical engineering construction aspects of delivering projects. Experience of having worked directly with the customer.

About you: Desirably, you will have obtained a minimum of an ONC/OND in project management or relative subject. Have or be working towards AMP membership and or have a professional qualification in engineering or construction. SMSTS Effective communication and influencing skills. Have the ability and experience to present and convey concepts and lengthy work streams in clear, concise, and visually appealing formats, considering the target audience.
