The Development/Project Manager will lead and support all aspects of development works, including:
- Development management
- Acquisition support
- Refurbishment management of new and existing industrial/logistics assets
Key Responsibilities
1. Asset Acquisitions
- Conduct technical due diligence and preliminary site inspections.
- Source vital information through extensive market research.
- Liaise with stakeholders, partners, and regulators to ensure thorough due diligence.
- Manage consultants to identify risks and refine acquisition strategies.
- Define capacity requirements (CAPEX/ROI) for long-term asset valuation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market demand.
2. Project Development
- Oversee development from conception to occupancy, ensuring budgets, timelines, and quality standards are met.
- Manage renewals/alterations on existing buildings while minimising disruptions.
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders for smooth project execution.
- Monitor KPIs to track progress and compliance.
3. Design & Engineering
- Collaborate with in-house design teams to align projects with regulatory, technical, and commercial standards.
- Assist with permits, approvals, and design consultant selection.
- Ensure local zoning and environmental compliance for all projects.
4. Procurement
- Support SoW definition, tender processes, and contract administration.
- Collaborate with costing teams for cost management and change tracking.
- Monitor project finances, identify variances, and implement adjustments.

5. Reporting
- Provide regular updates on progress, cost, and quality (daily/weekly/monthly).
- Prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholders.
- Track risks, open issues, and deviations from planned milestones.
Job Requirements
- Degree: Bachelor’s in Structural Engineering, M&E Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in industrial/logistics development or project management.
- Local Expertise: Strong understanding of UK regulations, planning processes, HSE compliance.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to liaise with technical/non-technical teams under tight deadlines.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of RIBA stages or equivalent.
- ESG Awareness: Commitment to sustainable development practices.
- Language: Fluent English; Chinese/other languages an advantage.
- Skills:

- Priortisation of multiple projects
Preferred: Experience in Chinese companies or culture.
