Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineering

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor delivering a landmark £120 million education infrastructure project in Carmarthenshire.

This is a flagship scheme with a 2.5-year construction programme, due to commence later this year. Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading the civil engineering delivery from inception through to completion.

The early phases of the project are heavily focused on earthworks, bulk excavation and muck shift, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civils Project Manager with a strong background in large-scale infrastructure, enabling works and ground engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of the civil engineering package on a major education development.
  • Report directly to the Project Director, providing regular programme, commercial and operational updates.
  • Manage site teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
  • Oversee extensive earthworks, muck shift, bulk excavation and enabling works.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Drive collaboration across engineering, commercial and construction teams.
  • Maintain excellent client and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Champion health, safety, environmental and quality performance across the project.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
