Purpose of the Role
To facilitate the successful delivery of projects within the SCX business unit, the Project Manager will act as the liaison between engineering/operations and project stakeholders. You will be embedded within the respective business unit, leading the project management efforts to ensure the business unit meets its project delivery goals while contributing to the company's overall project success objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Craft comprehensive project plans that outline timelines, key milestones, and resource allocation to ensure timely and budget-conscious project completion.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the central communication hub between engineering/operations and project stakeholders, fostering clear and consistent dialogue to align on project objectives and progress.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential risks and devise strategies to mitigate their impact, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Resource Coordination: Collaborate with various departments to allocate resources efficiently, ensuring project teams are well-equipped and supported.
- Quality Control: Uphold high standards by ensuring all project deliverables meet the required quality specifications and benchmarks.
- Financial Oversight: Keep a close eye on project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial discipline throughout the project lifecycle.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Team Leadership: Inspire and lead project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment that drives project success.
- Problem Resolution: Tackle any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle with a solutions-oriented approach.
- Continuous Improvement: Seek out opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to boost project management efficiency.

Skills & Experience Required
- Be able to demonstrate leadership qualities.
- Be organised and have the ability to manage your own time and task priorities.
- Be self-motivating. Have high energy levels and a strong determination to get things done.
- Have a problem solving and decision-making mindset.
- Have good interpersonal skills as both a good listener and a confident communicator.
- Be comfortable dealing with external stakeholders.
- Be able to develop strong external and internal relationships.
- Be a team player.
- Have good written communication skills and the ability to convey technical information in a concise way.
- Be able to work well under pressure and can work to tight timescales while maintaining high standards.
- Have a technical awareness including an understanding of internet / network-based solutions with substantial experience using MS Office including Word and PowerPoint.
- Full UK driving licence (travel between offices and client sites required).
