PMO / Project Manager – Near Patient Care Implementations
Contract Length: 12 months
Location: Field-based across the UK and Northern Ireland
Rate: £300 Umbrella Per Day, Inside IR35
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector? Our client is seeking a talented and experienced PMO/Project Manager to lead innovative Near Patient Care (NPC) implementation programmes across the UK and Northern Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s largest Point of Care implementation initiatives, enhancing patient care through cutting-edge diagnostic solutions!
About the Role
As the PMO/Project Manager, you will take charge of the planning, governance, and successful delivery of complex implementation projects. Your mission will be to ensure that these projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget, following the organisation's Project Methodology. You will collaborate closely with a variety of stakeholders, including healthcare service teams, commercial units, and technical experts to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale Near Patient Care implementation programmes.
- Manage multiple complex projects across diverse Healthcare Service organisations.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk registers.
- Coordinate workstreams involving implementation, training, logistics, and IT support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the healthcare landscape.
- Chair project meetings, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project performance against milestones, KPIs, and financial objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and share best practises.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience managing healthcare implementation projects.
- Familiarity with connected glucose and/or ketone metre solutions or similar Point of Care technologies.
- Strong understanding of Point of Care Testing (POCT) environments and associated challenges.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior clinical and operational teams.
- Experience with project budgets, governance, reporting, and change control.
- Strong organisational skills to handle multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet) and Microsoft Office.
- A valid UK driving licence.
