Job Description: Project Manager – Secure Innovation & Advisory
About CGI’s Space, Defence, and Intelligence Business Unit
CGI’s Space, Defence, and Intelligence business unit specialises in delivering cutting-edge technical solutions tailored to the most complex challenges faced by government clients. Our mission-critical systems are designed to ensure security, reliability, and innovation, helping our clients defend the nation and its people.
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Secure Innovation & Advisory team, collaborating closely with clients to deliver high-impact solutions in a fast-moving, trusting environment.
Key Requirements for this Role
This opportunity is exclusive to UK nationals due to the project’s secure nature. You must either:
- Hold a UK Security Clearance (or be prepared to obtain it if eligible).
- Be looking to startApplied-friendly: Individuals without UK security clearance can apply, and alternative opportunities without clearance will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
As part of a client-focused, agile team, you will undertake a range of responsibilities critical to success:

Client and Supplier Management
- Engage with stakeholders to align expectations.
- Collaborate with external suppliers in projects of varying complexity.

Agile Team Leadership
- Manage cross-functional agile teams (Scrum, Kanban or hybrid models).

Contract and Budget Oversight
- Administer supplier contracts (Time & Material, Fixed Price, Agile-based engagements).
- Allocate, track and controlling client budgets for projects.

Risk and Project Governance
- Ensures stakeholders remain informed and projects progress on schedule.
- Manage risks, dependencies and issues effectively.

SAFe and Scaling Agility
- Plan and lead SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) ceremonies, including PI planning sessions.
- Drive continuous improvement for team dynamics.
Required Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should:
- Demonstrate successful delivery of multiple projects using Project Management and Agile methodologies.
- Showcase exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to manage diverse stakeholders—clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Be self-driven, detail-oriented, and adaptable to fast-moving environments.
- Be an effective communicator, able to influence and articulate requirements clearly.
Desired Competencies
Where applicable, you would be an asset with:
- Certifications in Project Management/Agile frameworks, such as:
- PRINCE2, SAFe, Scrum or equivalent
- Experience delivering software or cloud-based projects, alongside:
- Public sector project delivery (FIN RPT and related commercial models)
