Do you want to make a real difference for children and young people with SEND?

Then join our SEND Brokerage team, where you’ll help shape and improve services, ensuring the right support is in place for families when they need it most.

As a Project Officer in the SEND Brokerage Team, you will support the commissioning, Brokering of contracts and management of caseloads and provision for children and young people with SEND. You’ll manage systems and financial protocols, improve processes, and ensure services are effectively tracked and delivered. Working with colleagues across education, finance, procurement, and IT, you’ll play a vital role in strengthening how services are sourced and managed, helping deliver better outcomes and value for money.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience of programme/project management or support
  • Can analyse data and present clear reports to stakeholders
  • Are highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
  • Have communication skills and can influence and build relationships
  • Have an understanding of the public sector

Playing a key role in a developing SEND Brokerage function, this role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to children and young people with SEND by improving how services are commissioned and delivered. You’ll work collaboratively across education, finance, procurement, and IT, gaining valuable cross-service experience, while developing your skills in commissioning, data analysis, and project delivery within a supportive, flexible, and hybrid working environment.
