With a reputation built on quality, innovation, and technical excellence, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Planner to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised planner who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to play a key role in the successful delivery of challenging engineering projects.
The Role
As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring integrated project schedules to support the successful delivery of multiple projects.
Working closely with Project Managers, engineering teams, suppliers and clients, you will ensure project programmes are realistic, achievable and aligned with business objectives. You will provide schedule analysis, planning support and performance reporting throughout the project lifecycle, helping to identify risks, opportunities and critical delivery milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and update integrated project schedules across multiple projects.
- Create resource-loaded and cost-loaded project programmes where required.
- Monitor project progress and analyse schedule performance against baseline plans.
- Produce planning reports, forecasts and schedule performance metrics.
- Identify critical path activities, project risks and programme impacts.
- Support project teams with planning best practice and schedule management.
- Coordinate with internal departments, subcontractors and external stakeholders to ensure programme alignment.
- Participate in project reviews, progress meetings and risk workshops.
- Support change management processes by assessing the schedule impact of project variations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project controls and planning processes.

About You
You are an organised, analytical professional with experience in project planning within engineering, construction or other complex project environments. You have excellent communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to keep projects on track.
Essential Experience
- Experience developing and maintaining integrated project schedules within complex project environments.
- Strong understanding of network planning and schedule analysis techniques.
- Experience producing resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules.
- Ability to analyse schedule performance and provide meaningful planning insights.
- Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills
- Degree qualified, or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar project planning software.
- Experience across the full project lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within project teams.
Desirable
- Experience with quantitative risk analysis.
- APM PMQ qualification.
- Experience within marine, nuclear or large-scale construction projects.
